YOUNGSTOWN - A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Church for Margaret Derin, 92, who passed away Wednesday at her home.
Margaret was born July 7, 1920, in Campbell, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Bodnovich) Stanislav.
Margaret was a January 1939 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. She was teletype operator for United States Steel Corp. office for 28 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a member of St. Nichols Byzantine Church, the senior citizens, the Women's BLA, the GCU Lodge 252 and she was a pirohi worker.
Her husband, Vincent P. Derin, whom she married Nov. 8, 1958, passed away Sept. 26, 1991.
Margaret leaves her sister, Loretta (James) Mislay of North Royalton; her brother, Andrew "Larry" (Mary) Stanislav of Boardman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was also preceded in death by six sisters, Mary Stanislav, Suzanne Whatley, Rita Stanislav, Kathryn Rouan, Ann Riordan, and Julia Dutko; and three brothers, Stephen, Mike and Joseph Stanislav.
Family and friends may call Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to St. Nicholas Byzantine Church.
Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
