Maria Fabiilli

NORTH LIMA - Maria Fabiilli, 89, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at Assumption Village surrounded by her loving family.

Born Oct. 27, 1928, in Pacentro, Italy, Maria was the daughter of Giovanni Angelilli and Fiorentina Ricci.

Maria was a devout Catholic who was a member of St. Dominic’s Church and also attended Mass at St. Michael’s Church.

She was a honorary member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Pacentrani Club.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She was an outstanding cook and baker and loved to sing and dance. If there was music playing then Maria’s voice would follow.

She was especially proud of her Italian heritage and loved talking about her beloved homeland.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 70 years, Domenico; children Anna (Dan) Mazzolini, Nancy (Michael) Vince, and Dominic (Sharlynn) Fabiilli; four grandchildren, Anthony (Lauren) Mazzolini, Michael Mazzolini, Patrick Vince, and Dominic James Fabiilli; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Arthur (Radiana) Angelilli and Patsy (Barbara) Angelilli; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Velia DeSantis.

The family extends their appreciation to the caring staff at Assumption Village with special thanks to nurses Rita and Lauren who cared for Maria with kindness and respect.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes Boardman-Canfield Chapel.

Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, in Canfield.

Entombment will be at GreenHaven Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of a donation to Assumption Village, 9800 Market St., North Lima, OH 44452, in Maria’s name.
