BOARDMAN Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for Marian A. Dickey, 85, who passed away Friday afternoon at Greenbriar.
Marian was born Jan. 26, 1924, in Charleston, W.Va., the daughter of Phil and Harriet Mushrush Zellner.
Marian was a 1942 graduate of South High School. She was a secretary for five years at Cold Metal Products. She was a member of the Christ Church Presbyterian and their couples bowling league. Marian enjoyed bowling and was a member and secretary for several bowling leagues. She loved helping out with youth bowling. She also enjoyed camping, knitting and reading. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Marian leaves her husband of 60 years, George A. Dickey, whom she married May 21, 1948; her daughter, Patti Gary Greene of Boardman; her son, Phil Lynn Dickey of New Springfield; her grandson, Christopher Dickey; her granddaughter Nina Tom Steele; and her great-grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Karl Zellner.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests material tributes take the form of donations to the Christ Church Presbyterian in her name.
