Marilyn Dahlgren

YOUNGSTOWN - Services will begin Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman for Marilyn R. Dahlgren, 75, who died Wednesday morning at Hospice House.
Marilyn was born Nov. 3, 1933 in Youngstown, the daughter of Carl and Alfhild Nyberg Dahlgren.
She was a 1951 graduate of Chaney High School and later earned her Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Music Education from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University.
She had worked as a teachers aid for the Struthers Schools, and had been a lifelong member of the Bethel Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sisters, June Dahlgren of Youngstown and Janet Boyer of Austintown; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special friend and companion, Leroy McCluggage.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Gail Dahlgren, Carol Dahlgren and Patricia Leyshon and three brothers, Robert Dahlgren, Jacques "Jack" Dahlgren and Carl J. Dahlgren Jr.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church.
Professional arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
