POLAND - Prayers will begin Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church, for Marilyn Senn Pipoly, 80, who died early Monday morning, at Sunrise Nursing Home.
Marilyn was born Aug. 14, 1936, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (McKenzie) Senn.
She was a 1954 graduate of Boardman High School.
Marilyn began her career at Youngstown Sheet and Tube as an administrative assistant. She worked for the Boardman Schools in the guidance office until deciding to stay home to raise her family. Marilyn later returned to work, where she sold insurance for both Allstate and Genworth Insurance Agencies. Throughout her sales career, Marilyn received many awards, including Ohio's Top Salesman of the Year.
She was a member of the Red Hats Society, the League of Republican Women Voters, Jaycee Club and the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Beth (Rick) Beidleman of Holliston, Mass.; son Brad Pipoly of Boardman; two sisters, Joanna (Harry Basch) Senn of Beverly Hills, Calif. and Cara McKenzie of Tehachapi, Calif.; two brothers, Robert (Anna May) Senn of Austintown and William (Marilyn) Senn of Colts Neck, N.J.; two grandchildren, Meghan and Kristen Beidleman; and nieces and nephews Sherri, Michelle, Robert, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Kathryn, Donald, David, Blake, Chase and Alana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Phillip Pipoly.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Crossroads Hospice.
