STRUTHERS - Marlane Vulcan, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 57 on December 19, 2024.
Born on February 18, 1967, in Youngstown.
She was a proud graduate of Struthers High School class of 1985, "Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat". Marlane dedicated 22 years of her life to working in retail at Walmart, where she touched the lives of countless customers and colleagues with her warm spirit and genuine kindness. She found immense joy in baking cookies, a favorite time that filled her home with love and warmth. Marlane had a particular fondness for Christmas, a holiday she embraced with enthusiasm and joy, creating lasting memories for her family.
Marlane's greatest joy came from her family. She treasured Sundays spent with her loved ones and took great pride in her role as a full-time Nana to her grandchildren. There was no greater happiness for her than sharing moments with her children and grandchildren, who remain forever grateful for the deep love and support she bestowed upon them.
Marlane is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Vulcan, whom she married August 21, 1992; her children, Darcie (Matthew) Wier of New Castle, PA, Rachael (fiance Bob Sass) Vulcan of Youngstown; and Brian Vulcan of Columbus; her eight grandchildren, Brianne, Brady, Lettie, Remi, Riley, Evan, Bobby, and Elliott; her nephew, Bill (Zayna) Gasior of Struthers; her siblings, Katherine Wilson, Ronald Fabian, Donald Fabian, James Fabian, Lisa Carr, and Diana Fabian; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, June Vulcan of North Benton; sister-in-law, Jodi (Matthew) Weibush of North Benton; and a niece, Jennifer Tedrow of North Benton.
Marlane was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy M. Fox Ridenour; sister, Ruth Lynne Gasior and father-in-law, Ronald Vulcan.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during calling hours at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, on Sunday December 22, 2024, from 1 to 3 PM and on Monday from 12 PM to 1 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 23, 2024, at 1 PM at the funeral home.
Marlane's family would like to give a special thanks to all of the staff at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital's ICU Team, especially Heather, Erica and Melanie.
