AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, officiated by Sr. Pat Fesler H.M., for Marlene R. (Davis) Bailey, who died Wednesday morning at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Bailey was born on June 22, 1939, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Frank and Eileen (Whalen) Davis, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
She began her career working as a teller before retiring in 1997.
Marlene adored her family, especially her loving grandchildren, with whom she spent much time. She also loved to dance, crochet, garden, bake and play cards.
Marlene will be greatly missed by her four children, Marie (Robert) Meredith of North Lima, Darlene (Dennis) Seger of Amherst, Ohio, Sandra (Mike) Dobransky of Austintown, and Edward (Joseph Lenzi) Bailey of Indianapolis; her three siblings, Daniel (Joy), Pete, and Michele Lukanec, all of Ellsworth; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Brooks; and grandson Vincent Testa.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Hudson, OH 44236.
