Marsha Paden

March 14, 1951 — September 28, 2007

BOARDMAN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at noon on Wednesday at St. Charles Church for Marsha M. Paden, 56, who passed away unexpectedly with her husband by her side Friday afternoon, Sept. 28, after
courageously living with cancer for ten years.

She was born March 14, 1951 in Youngstown, the daughter of Joanna Conkey Hemphill and the late Donald Conkey.

She was a 1969 graduate of Chaney High School, and helped plan many class reunions. In 1973, Marsha graduated from Bowling Green State University, and from the Youngstown Hospital Association School of Medical Technology. She
then worked as a medical technologist with Northside Medical Center until she retired in 2002.

Marsha enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved them all very deeply. Her hobbies included knitting and baking, however, her true passion was working outside in her garden, which brought her great comfort and peace. She was a member of the Holborn Herb Grower¹s Guild, and treasured
the time she spent volunteering in the gardens at Boardman Park and the Western Reserve Village. Marsha most recently served as the Guild¹s recording secretary. She was a member of the Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens where she had just proudly completed the course work to be certified as a Master Gardener. Marsha was also a member of a monthly card club that she started with a group of cherished friends from work.

She is survived by her loving husband Frank, whom she married July 14, 1973; three children whom she adored, Brad, Suzie, and Laura; two sisters, Margaret George Bondor, and Cindy Tom Christoff; a brother, Don Conkey;
a sister-in-law Phyllis Matt Oleyar; ten nieces and nephews; six great-nieces; and her favorite companion, the family dog Louie.

Marsha will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in care of the funeral home, to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation at 333 Mamaronek Ave. #492 White Plains, NY 10605 or at www.carcinoid.org/donate/form.
