Martha Cullinan

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Martha Jane Cullinan, 101, who died early Sunday morning at the Hospice House.


Martha was born March 20, 1908 in Warren to the late James O. and Lulu Manville.


She was a 1926 graduate of Warren Harding High School and graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art.


Martha had many memorable talents. She was a fine Pianist and gourmet cook, an avid Equestrian, whom has owned horses her entire life. She was an animal lover, whether nursing the sick or wounded back to health or finding homes for deserving pets, she enjoyed animals.


Martha, along with her husband, Ralph, were instrumental in the development of the former Cullinan Baseball Fields on Raccoon Road, which was part of there family farm.


She is a member of the Austintown Community Church.


Besides her parents, and her brother, Jodi Manville, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Cullinan, they married June 27, 1928, he died June 29, 1986.


She is survived by her son, Jim Margaret Cullinan of Canfield; a granddaughter, Colleen Wayne Craig of Austintown; two great-grandchildren, Michael Craig, who is currently serving in the Navy and Christine Craig, who is a senior at Youngstown State University, majoring in Psychology; a dear friend, Evelyn Goeller; her caregivers, Linda West and Angela Morales; and her beloved K-9 companion, Spotty.


Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.


Burial will be at Four Mile Run Cemetery.
