Youngstown. . .Memorial Services will be held Saturday at 6:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Mrs. Martha Kotsol, 89 of Youngstown passed away Wednesday afternoon with her family at her side. Martha was born April 11, 1917, in Austintown a daughter of Robert M. and May Keck Moherman.
She was raised in Canfield and lived most of her life in Youngstown. She enjoyed her family and loved to cook, bake and play the slots. Part of her retirement years she lived in Largo, Florida where she enjoyed fishing and going to the dog track.
Martha was well liked by everyone including past employees at Ursuline High School and Strouss Department Store.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Dick Gunter of Austintown, Betty Jack Stanko of Reno, Nevada and Anthony E. Debbie KotsolJr., Canfield, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Martha was preceded in death by a daughter Sally Janci; great-grandson Eric Rektor; two sisters Helen Callahan and Doris Bradley and a brother Paul L. Moherman.
The family wishes to thank the staff from Shepherd of the Valley, Boardman and Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care.
Family and friends may call from 4:00-6:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
