AUSTINTOWN - Private funeral services will be held for Martha A. Peter, 99, who passed away Saturday evening at her home.
Martha was born Aug. 8, 1911, of Cleveland, the daughter of Michael and Anna Cannonburg Lawitzke.
Martha was a mail room supervisor for Geo. Worthington Co. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and loved her grandchildren.
Her husband, Adolph H. Peter, whom she June 28, 1933, passed away June 7, 1987.
Martha leaves a daughter, Cheryl William C. Dunn, with whom she made her home with in Austintown; a son, Terrence A. Laverne Peter of Florida; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three sisters.
Martha's family would like to thank Dr. John M. Koval and the caregivers from TVC, especially Kathy Yankle and also Chris Fraser for all the their loving care for Martha.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
