Martha Wissinger Young
Boardman- Services will be Wednesday at 11am in the Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Dr. for Martha Wissinger Young, age 90, of Boardman, who died Sunday morning at Shepard of the Valley surrounded by her family.
Martha was born in Youngstown, June 27, 1917 to the late John and Clara Boyer Perry.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, the Ruth Circle at church, a former 4-H advisor for the Springfield Cooking Teens, a former volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society and a member for over 60 years of the Tuesday Night Card Club.
Before retiring she was employed by Dr. H.P. McGregor, MD and Dr. Robert O. Beach, DDS. In North Lima for many years.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Donald H. Wissinger who died in 1966 and her second husband James H. Young who died in 1980. a son Robert D. Wissinger, a grandson, Edward N. Larson, Jr., three brothers, Joseph, Thomas and Fred Perry, and three sisters Ruth and Betty Perry, and Clara Louise DeBrackaleer.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter Marjorie Ed Larson of Boardman, two sons, John B. Linda Wissinger of Salem, and Bill Wissinger of Hobe Sound. Fla., 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday 7-9pm in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral home Boardman-Canfield Chapel and one hour prior to services at church on Wednesday 10-11am.
