CANFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Allen OP Saturday morning at 10:30 AM at St. Dominic Church in Youngstown for Martin E. Paes, age 57 of Canfield who died Tuesday evening of an apparent heart attack he suffered at his home.
Marty was born August 17, 1948, in Youngstown, the son of Martin F. and Eileen Elwood Paes.
He was a 1967 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and in 1972 received his Bachelors degree from Youngstown State University. He was currently self employed, working in the insurance industry.
He is survived by his wife the former Dianne Scheetz, whom he married October 13, 1973, two sons, Dr. John Paes and his wife Hope Paes of Columbus, Ohio, Captain Christopher Paes USMC and his wife Laura Paes of Fredricksburg, VA, a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Paes of Columbus, Ohio, a granddaughter Aubrey Paes, and two sisters, Helen T. Paes of Boardman, and Maureen E. Paes of New Middletown.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
A service of committal will be at Calvary Cemetery following services at the church.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Dominic Church in Marty's memory.
