BOARDMAN - Prayers will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, for Mary Castranova Biroschak, 80, who passed away Thursday at Greenbriar Health Care Center.
Mary was born on Aug. 19, 1932, in Youngstown, to Joseph and Mary Opalko Oriel.
She was a 1950 graduate of East High School, a member of the Holy Family Church and a member of the Poland Council No. 4471 of the Knights of Columbus, KCettes.
Mary is survived by her husband of 15 years, John Biroschak; two daughters, Mary Kay John A. Glover of Dayton and Patty A. Reardon of Philadelphia; a sister, Louise E. Baytosh of Warren; and five grandchildren, Cameron, Abigale, and John Glover Jr. and Sarah and Charlotte Reardon.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Castranova; and her parents.
Family and friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
