"Together Again"
YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Mary T. Bobby, 85, who died Saturday morning at home.
Mary was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Youngstown, to Joseph and Gertrude (Maley) Mahon.
She was a 1945 graduate of Hubbard High School and graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1948. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital's Mom/Baby Unit for over 30 years until retiring. She later worked at Assumption Nursing Home for many years.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and the Kleber Avenue Card Club. She also enjoyed monthly dinners with her Hubbard High School classmates.
Her husband, Donald J. Bobby, whom she married Sept. 1, 1951, died March 13, 2012.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Mary Beth Bobby of Austintown and Judy (Brian) Fedyski of McDonald; four sons, Donald J. (Carol) of Alexandria, Va., Thomas R. of Austintown, Michael of Austintown, and Kenny J. of Kernersville, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul and Leonard Mahon.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. in Boardman.
