BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church for Mary Gail Caputo, 78, who died Thursday evening at Beeghley Oaks Care Center.
Mary was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Edna (Rhinehart) Stimmer.
Mary was a graduate of Ursuline High School, a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting and a longtime member of St. Charles Church.
Her husband, John J. Caputo, preceded her in death, May 26, 1992.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Fred) Palumbo of Boardman; a son, Tom (Kim) Caputo of Boardman; a sister, Rita (Bob) Kapp; and four grandchildren; Craig and Doug Caputo and Nicholas and Emily Palumbo.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Paul Stimmer.
Friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, at St. Charles Church.
The Caputo family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5900 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512, in Mrs. Caputo's memory.
