Mary A. Ciarniello

AUSTINTOWN - Mary Ann Ciarniello passed away peacefully July 27, 2024 while residing at the Woodlands at Austinwoods. 

Mary was born on September 9, 1931 in Girard, Ohio to Joseph Ragazzine and Mary Padavano. She was one of ten children. She married Fred Ciarniello on April 27, 1957 and moved to Austintown, Ohio. She raised five children and was a lifelong homemaker. She was involved with the Ladies Bagnolese Club, St. Joseph's Ladies Guild, and Associate Member of the Korean War Veteran's Club. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and traveling. She took great pride in being called Mom, Grandma, Nana, and Memaw. 

She is survived by her children Anna (Joe) Marshall, Mary Jo Norris, Christina (David Jr.) Rohrbaugh, Fred (Annie) Ciarniello, and Patrick (Angie) Ciarniello; sister-in-law Virginia Pallotta; six grandchildren Harold, Megan, and Justina Norris, Danielle (Michael) Frabutt Garcia, Joseph Ciarniello, and Olivia Ciarniello; two step-grandchildren Danny (Sasha) and Bob (Mary Kate) Marshall; two great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Austintown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. for Mary. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Church or the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
