BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church for Mary T. Cocucci, 92, who passed away at her home Dec. 28.
Mary was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of the late George and Mary Seman Koval.
Mary attended Lewis Wienberger and Mill Beauty Academy and opened her own salon, Mary's Beauty Shop, which she operated for over 30 years.
She was a member of Jednota Ladies Association No. 169, was a Girl Scout Leader, and was a member of St. Dominic's Altar and Rosary Society. Mary enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends and also loved doing crafts.
Her husband, Camillo Cocucci, whom she married July 31, 1941, passed away April 8, 2002.
Mary leaves her daughter, Joanne Donald LaHart of Burnt Hills, N.Y.; her grandson, Scott Camilla LaHart, and great-granddaughters, Madison and Keira of Norway; her granddaughter, Kimberly David Cummins, and great-grandsons, Ian and Jacob of Niskayuna, N.Y.; a sister, Catherine Tomko of Youngstown; and a brother, John Janosik of Youngstown. She also leaves several nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Mary was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Irene Balas and Anna Huewig; a stepsister, Ann Kramer; and a brother, Steve Janosik.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to your favorite charity.
