Youngstown - A Pana Chida Service will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday morning at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, with the Divine Liturgy being celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church for Mary A. DeCenso age 91 of Meridian Arms formerly of Birch Hill Dr. who passed away Sunday evening at Meridian Arms.
Mary was born February 10, 1914, in Youngstown, the daughter of Peter and Juliana Danko Mikita. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, its Rosary Society, and its Golden Pillars.
Mary is survived by her husband Henry A. DeCenso, two sisters Julia Markovitz of Youngstown, and Josephine Dominick of Struthers, and numerous nieces, nephews, including her niece and caregiver Ruth Troxil of Youngstown, and numerous great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Ann Smith, and Helen Wolf, and five brothers, Peter, Mike, Steve, John and Joseph Mikita.
Friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of services Thursday morning at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
