Austintown - Memorial Services will be held Monday at 4:00 PM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Austintown for Mrs. Mary Alice Diacin age 88 who died Saturday morning at Humility House.
She was born January 1, 1918, in Youngstown a daughter of John H. and Bridget E. McGinley Ryan.
She was a homemaker, a member of the church and it's Altar and Rosary Society; a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Medical Center from 1984 to 1994 and the founding member of CO-ED-DETTS.
Mrs. Diacin was married to Michael G. whom she married January 4, 1943, and died October 17, 1991.
She leaves her daughter Mrs. Maureen James Schick of Austintown; two sons Hugh T. Debbie Diacin of Marietta, GA and Michael P. Janett Diacin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 4 grandchildren Heather Keith May , James Schick with whom she made her home, Christopher Diacin and Diego Yalile Quirola; two great-grandchildren Clarissa and Juan Diego Quirola.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 6 brothers James, John, Hugh, Vincent, Thomas and Eugene Ryan; 3 sisters Sister Mary Alice of the Ursuline Sisters and 2 infant sisters.
Friends may call from 3:00 - till the time of service at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
