YOUNGSTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Maron Church in Youngstown for Mary T. Mike Dohar, 84, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, after a lengthy illness.
Mary was born in Youngstown, on April 28, 1928, the daughter of Ablen and Anna Dohar Mike.
Mary graduated from East High School. She worked as a secretary for Republic Steel, Truscon Division and for the Acme Steak Company.
On Nov. 26, 1949, she married Richard A. Dohar. He preceded her in death on New Year's Day 1983.
Mary had been a long time member of St. Maron Church and its St. Tobias Society. Her two most favorite pass times were being with her sisters and playing cards with her sisters, sisters-in-law and her friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Marilyn James Mastronarde of Salem; sons Richard LuAnn of Saxonburg, Pa., Dr. Robert of Strongsville, and David Jackie of Stow; daughter-in-law Charlene Dohar; two sisters Elizabeth Manser of Salem and Alice George Rohan of Columbiana; a brother, Thomas A. Mike of LaGrange, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Roxanne Bob Molnar, James and Dr. Gregory Mastronarde, and Bobby, Cory, Rachael, Ricky, D.J., Taylor and Jake Dohar; and five great-grandchildren, Brayden Mastronarde, Kylee, Garrett, Travis and Ashley Molnar.
Besides her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Michael A. and Joseph A. Mike; and sister, Teresa Simon.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, where there will be a service of Incense at 7 p.m. and on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
