Mary Bindas

August 19, 1916 — November 25, 2006

YOUNGSTOWN ­ Services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and at noon at Holy Name of Jesus Church for
Mary Dorothy Bindas, 90, who passed away Saturday afternoon at Meridian Arms Care Center.

Mary was born Aug. 19, 1916 in Youngstown, the daughter of Ladis and Katherine Jauebak Horvat.

She was a homemaker and had worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital¹s kitchen
during WWII, and later as the manager of the Ladies Department of Atlantic Mills on Belmont Ave.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and a former member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post No. 169 Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband, John J. ³Butch² Bindas, whom she married Aug. 16, 1941, died Nov. 22, 1994.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeannette M. Mike Mulhall of Boardman, and Carol A. John Papasodero of Beaver, Pa.; a son, Richard A. Kathy Bindas of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three
brothers, Frank, Tony and Joe Horvat.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
