AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Mrs. Mary E. Moran, celebrated by her brother, the Rev. John Summers, who died Monday morning surrounded by her family at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
She was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of Francis J. and Bessie Willis Summers.
Mary was a 1953 graduate of Ursuline High School and attended Youngstown University. She was a member of the church and a past member of Seton Circle and Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She was also employed by Commercial Shearing and retired from The Tamarkin Company.
Her husband, Thomas E. Moran, whom she married on Aug. 16, 1958, died on May 31, 2011.
She leaves two daughters, Maribeth Doug McGlynn and Eileen Andy Frost; a son, James Moran; her brother, Father John Summers; six grandchildren, Shannon and Greg McGlynn, Derek and Lauren Frost and Tom and Jamie Moran; and a great-grandson, Hunter Stacy.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Martha O'Connor.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
