Mary Hanigovsky

BOARDMAN - Services will begin Friday morning at 10:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel followed by a Byzantine Rite Catholic Mass celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church on Wilson Ave. for Mary Hanigovsky age 95 of Boardman who passed away Monday evening at Assumption Village. Mary was born July 24, 1911, in Campbell, the daughter of Anthony and Veronica Hutnansky Koly. She was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and the former Sokol Center.
Her husband John Hanigovsky whom she married October 24, 1931, died November 29, 1974.
She is survived by her daughter Eleanor M. Rich of Boardman, a sister Ann Gocala of Youngstown, four grandchildren, Eilaine Donofrio of Poland, John Rich of Boardman, William Rich of Austin, Texas, and Dr. David Rich of Boardman, and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a sister Helen Jazwinski, and a brother George Koly.
Friends may call from 5 PM to 8 PM Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Catholic Charities in Mary's Memory.
