BOARDMAN - Services will be Thursday at noon at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church for Mary Hutko, 86, who passed away early Monday morning, July, 4, at Park Vista Retirement Community.
Mary was born April 25, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Anna and Michael Hrina.
After working a few years at McKenzie Muffler during the war, Mary married her beloved, Joseph on Nov. 24, 1945, and became a housewife raising two children, Allen Joseph and Diane Marie.
Mary and Joseph were married 27 years, before his passing on Sept. 8, 1973.
Mary was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and playing cards.
Mary is survived by two children, Allen Jeanne Hutko of Michigan and Diane Jeffrey Smith of Lisbon; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Nellie Cyril McKula, Margaret Louis Wallace and Helen Bart Calderal; and two brothers, Emil Anne Hrina and George Josephine Hrina.
Mary's family would like to thank all the employees of Park Vista Nursing II for their care and compassion during their mothers stay.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church.
