POLAND - A prayer service will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Angela of Merici Parish, Sacred Heart Church for Mrs. Mary Louise Kennedy, 73, who died Wednesday morning at Shepherd of the Valley.
Mary Louise was born April 19, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter of Stephen and Anna Hancas Koliser.
She was a graduate of South High School and had worked as an office manager at St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was a member of the church.
Mary Louise married the love of her life, Lawrence W. Kennedy Jr., in September of 1965, and he died Nov. 24, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Theodore "Ted" Kennedy of Poland; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Yanek of Poland and Sara Koliser of Youngstown; four brothers-in-law, Bob (Bobbie) Kennedy of Boardman, John (Bernadette) Kennedy and Fulton (Colleen) Kennedy both of Harrisburg, Pa., and George Milick of Boardman; two nephews, George Milick and Richard Koliser; and a niece, Cindy Price.
Mary Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; a sister, Frances Milick; and a brother, Jim Koliser.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
