CANFIELD - Prayers will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church for Mary Louise Kroll, 95, who passed away peacefully, Tuesday, at her home, with her children by her side.
Mary Louise was born May 26, 1920, in Homestead, Pa., a daughter of the late William and Anna (Clarke) Pieper.
Mary Louise graduated from Scienceville High School and Youngstown Business College Secretarial School. She was a member of the national business sorority, Alpha Iota. Prior to her marriage, she was a legal secretary for the Falls, Hazel and Kerr law firm. Mary Louise was also a secretary for L.F. Donnell at Donnell Ford Company, before becoming a full-time homemaker.
Her husband, Roy H. Kroll, whom she married April 17, 1943, passed away May 23, 2013.
Mary Louise leaves her two daughters, Marjorie Donahue of Croton on Hudson, N.Y. and Eileen (Richard) Haught, with whom she made her home in Canfield; two sons, Roy W. (Barbara) Kroll of Sandusky and William (Kim) Kroll of North Olmstead; nine grandchildren, Meredith Donahue, Kevin Donahue, Jennifer Perry, Jeffrey Haught, Leslie Iser, Stephanie Kroll, David Kroll, Ryan Kroll, and Shane Kroll; nine great-grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew. She is survived by her sister, Virginia (Donald) Warming of Riverdale in Bronx, N.Y.
A special thanks goes to family friend, Sheri Donchess, for all of her loving care and devotion. Mary Louise's family would also like to thank nurses Marian Birch and Tessa Martin from Shepard Home Health.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
