LIBERTY - Mary Lepore, 84, passed away on Jan. 11, 2016.
Mary was born in Burghill on May 17, 1931, a daughter of Paul Porter Hayes and Coralyn Alta Herriot.
Mary attended Youngstown State University, where she met her husband of 65 years, Dr. Vincent D. Lepore. Mary was employed as a secretary to the industrial relations attorneys in the offices of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. Shortly after her marriage, she moved to Rome, where Vincent attended medical school and she served as an administrative assistant for the Bureau of Narcotics at the American Embassy. Upon returning to the States, she made her home in Liberty Township and was a member of the Junior Guild at St. Elizabeth Health Center for many years.
Besides her husband, Vincent, she leaves a son, Dr. Vincent D. Lepore Jr. and his wife, Maggi, of San Jose, Calif.; and her grandson, Nicholas V. Lepore of Los Angeles. She also leaves a brother, Braden Hayes of Indianapolis and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Phyllis Rood.
Mary was remembered at a private service that was held at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, on Jan. 13, 2016.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and physicians that took care of Mary during her long period of illness.
