She was born on September 21, 1926, in Youngstown, daughter of the late John G. and Mary Catherine Mahoney Marrie.
Mary was a proud graduate of Poland Seminary High School in 1944. Mary worked at Ohio Bell and then later at the Postal Church. She devoted a significant part of her life to her career as a switchboard operator at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 1991. A member of Holy Family Church, Mary's faith was an integral part of her life. She found joy in cooking, baking, and creating beautiful crafts and ceramics, all of which she shared generously with her family and friends. Mary had a talent for crocheting that brought comfort and warmth to those she loved. She also cherished the wonderful memories made while traveling with her sisters and spending quality time with her many cousins.
