Mary Morley

BOARDMAN - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave. in Youngstown, with the Rev. Bernard M. Timothy, O.P. officiating for Mary Ann Morley, 58, who passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Dec. 31, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center after a two month illness.
Mary Ann was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Munich, Germany, the daughter of Mary Kathleen Morley and the late Charles Morley.
Mary Ann graduated from the Leonard Kirtz School, and later worked with her colleagues at the Mahoning County Workshop. She was well known to her friends and family to have a wonderful sense of humor, sparkling blue eyes, and someone who brought joy and happiness to everyone whose lives she touched.
In recent years, Mary Ann enjoyed the company of her friends at the Beeghly Oaks Nursing Home, enjoying trips to the Canfield Fair, church festivals, local theater productions and visits with family and friends. Mary Ann enjoyed showing visitors her personal note from Reba McEntire, and welcomed all who would sit and watch the Reba TV show with her.
Mary Ann is survived by her mother, Kathy Morley; her brothers, Atty. Michael Morley (Anita) of New York and Dr. Timothy Morley (Patrice) of Greenwich, Conn.; and nieces, Claire, Olivia, Chelsea and Darby.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Morley, with whom she is now united.
She also leaves her best friend, Bonnie McAllister (Mark) who loved and cared for her every day.
Friends may call Friday from 9 to 9:45 a.m., prior to the funeral Mass at the church.
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff of Beeghly Oaks, and especially the extraordinary nursing staff of St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley, 250 DeBartolo Place, Suite 2560, Boardman, OH 44512, or the Handel Foundation, Inc., 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Suite 101, Boardman, Ohio 44512, a foundation dedicated to serving children and young adults with disabilities in the Mahoning Valley.
