Mary Peshek

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Mary L. Peshek, 82, who passed away early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary was born July 16, 1934, in Warsaw, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Hazel L. (Sowers) Harris.
Mary volunteered at Angels for Animals and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She also enjoyed shopping, ceramics and collecting teddy bears.
Her husband, Howard Peshek, whom she married Sept. 7, 1954, passed away Jan. 18, 2000.
Mary leaves two sons, Stephen (Cindy Miller) Peshek of North Jackson and Jeffrey (Carlie) Peshek of Austintown; three grandchildren, Jordan Peshek, Stephanie (Bradley) Duganne and Matthew Peshek; a great-granddaughter, Madeline; a step granddaughter, Amanda Miller; a special niece, Sally Roberts; and three nephews, Jim, Larry and Dick Roberts.
Mary was also preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Roberts; a brother, Jim Harris; and a grandson, Stephen Peshek.
In lieu of flowers, tributes may take the form of donations to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
