Services will be Monday morning at 9:15 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell for Mildred Petrus age 90 formerly of Campbell and New Springfield who passed away Friday morning at Forum Northside Hospital. Mildred was born December 16, 1916 in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Milka Studen Willich. She had worked as a waitress first at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Canteen and later at Howard Johnson's, and was a longtime member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church.
Her husband Joseph Petrus whom she married July 29, 1939 died in January of 1999.
She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and sister by her daughter JoAnn M. Ray Maga of Poland, two sons Robert J. Petrus of New Springfield, and David J. Mary Jane Petrus of Milford, OH, a sister Ann Dellesky of Chicago, ILL, seven grandchildren, Tina, Joni, Robert, Matthew, Chrsitopher, Laura and Sarah, and six great-grandchildren, Anna, Jenna, Dayna, Robert, Tristan, and Jaime.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Yaniglos, and Mary Karsnak, and a brother Nick Willich.
Friends may call from 5 PM to 8 PM Sunday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel where a prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM.
