NEW MIDDLETOWN - Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel for Mary A. Romito, 83, formerly of Poland, who passed away Saturday morning at Masternick Memorial.
Mary was born March 25, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Fred and Dorothy (Morrow) Poppineau.
Mary graduated from The Rayen School and worked in the office at SKF Industries.
Her husband, Joseph Romito, whom she married July 12, 1952, passed away Nov. 14, 2014.
Mary leaves her two daughters, Debbie (Donald) Skowron of North Lima and Barbara Kata of Greenville, N.C.; a son, Joe (Lenny) Romito of Campbell; seven grandchildren, Melissa Davis, Molly and Rebecca Skowron, Elizabeth Briney and Krystin Lawhorn, and Bryan and Leslie Romito; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jayne Wilson of West Palm Beach, Fla.
Mary was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Frank Kata; grandson, Frankie Kata; a brother, William Poppineau; and two sisters, Roberta Rauschenbach and Dorothy Poppineau.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
