"Together Again"
POLAND - Prayers will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Mary Stoffer, 93, who passed peacefully on Sept. 25, 2011, at Assumption Village.
Mary was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved the Lord very much and was a true gift and blessing to all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents, Andrew and Cecilia Krajci; and brothers, Steve and Victor.
Mary is survived by her sister, Valerie Sanders; her daughters, Marlene Jay Morris of Pittsburgh and Sherri Belski of Acton, Mass.; her sons, Kenneth Stoffer of Columbus and Donald Stoffer of Columbus; granddaughters, Shandra Terry McNelis, Brianne Michael Baglini, Molly Myers and Hillary Stoffer; great-granddaughter, Kealy Rose McNelis; and many special nieces and nephews.
Mary was born in Youngstown on Aug. 4, 1918.
She was a graduate of Holy Name Grade School and Chaney High School, class of 1936. She then worked a variety of jobs including General Fireproofing before marrying the love of her life on Nov. 16, 1946.
Mary was a charter member of the Holy Family Church. Mary had a wonderful smile and laugh. She loved her God and family deeply. She will be greatly missed. Well done good and faithful servant!
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Assumption Village and Hospice of the Valley for their wonderful care of Mary.
