Mary Traino

AUSTINTOWN - Prayers will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Austintown for Mary Traino, 78, who passed away Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Mary was born July 6, 1930 in Hillsville, Pa., the daughter of the late Domenick and Theresa Tutino Luccisano.

Mary took a great deal of pride in caring for her family as a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning fruits and vegetables from her garden. Above all, she loved and cherished the time she could spend with her four grandchildren. This shared time gave special meaning to her life.

Mary was a warm-hearted, beautiful person, who always put others above herself. Those whose lives she touched will always be blessed by her comforting gentleness, her loving heart, and her compassionate soul. "Mary was truly our angel on Earth, now in heaven watching over all of us."

She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary leaves her husband, Ralph V. Traino, whom she married Oct. 3, 1959; two daughters, Diane Joseph Tuchek of Canfield and Linda Mike of Boardman; a son, Ralph S. Traino at home; a sister, Lucy Perry of Boardman; and four grandchildren, Joseph and Nikki Tuchek and Erika and Deanna Mike.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a infant daughter, Theresa Traino; two sisters, Carrie Palagano and Rose Saulino; and four brothers, Rocco, Joseph, James and Frank Luccisano.

The family will be receiving friends Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
