Maxine Bruner

AUSTINTOWN - Maxine Bruner, 80, died peacefully March 17, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.

Maxine was born March 25, 1944, in West Virginia, the daughter of Melvin and Nellie Hickman Jewell.

She was a graduate of Newton Falls High School and spent her life as a dedicated homemaker to her husband and children.

In her spare time, Maxine enjoyed baking and keeping her mind sharp with crossword puzzles.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Darrel Bruner Sr., whom she married Oct. 8, 1966; three siblings Gearleen Colarik, Delmas Jewell, and Helen Marsh; three children, Cindy (Bill) Satterfield of IL, Darrel (Kathy) Bruner Jr. of WV and Michelle (Tom) Harris of Newton Falls; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Bonnie Sipes, Braden Jewell, Sandra McClements, and Nancy Testerman.
