AUSTINTOWN — Michael T. Jordon, 66, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 28, 1957, in Warwick, Rhode Island, to the late David K. and Kathleen C. Leonard Jordon.
Michael was a proud graduate of Bishop Hendrickson High School and furthered his education by earning a bachelor’s degree in history from DePaul University.
Throughout his career, he owned and operated En-Ser, where he excelled at creating blueprints for local contractors. His work in the field was highly regarded, reflecting his dedication and skill.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Michael held significant honors within the community, notably as a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, where he served as the general program director for the State of Ohio. His commitment to service and community engagement was evident throughout his life.
Beyond his career, Michael was a passionate family man, who adored the time he spent making memories. He cherished the time he spent bike riding and walking with his beloved wife, Diane Poszust Jordon, whom he married July 3, 2010. The couple shared an adventure-filled life that included golfing, taking wine tours and traveling. Above all, Michael found true joy in spending time with his grandchildren.
Michael leaves his wife, Diane Jordon; children, Jason (Jodi) Jordon of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Frank (Claudia Martinez) Catello of Austintown, Leann (Josh Kaglic) Jordon of Austintown, Daniel (Ashley) Catello of Pittsburgh and Zachary (Taylor Blankenship) Jordon of Boardman; his sister, Ann Williamson of Inverness, Florida; sister in law, Cindy (Mike) Dikun of Boardman; and his grandchildren, Michael, Riley, Trinity, Natalie, Isaiah, Landen, Mia, Noah, Ethan and Oliver.
He also was preceded in death by his former wife, Susan Jordon, and brother, David Jordon.
The loss of Michael leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember him for his loving spirit and devotion to those he cherished.
Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
Prayers will begin 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
