CANFIELD - Prayers will begin Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial held at 1 p.m. at St. Charles Church for Michael J. Lisko Sr., 61, who died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Michael was born April 17, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of Paul and Agnes (Sedlacko) Lisko.
He was a 1973 graduate of Ursuline High School and graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in Accounting.
Michael started his career with the DeBartolo Company, where he worked as an accountant. Over the years, Michael worked for several corporations as a treasurer and controller. Most recently, he had worked as an accountant controller for Thorne Management.
Michael was a very kind, loving, caring, compassionate, and funny husband, father, and grandfather. He loved coaching his children's baseball, softball, and soccer teams over the years. He did a lot of pro Bono work in the community which helped save many local business. He also loved to bowl, collect coins, and stamps.
Michael was also a member of St. Charles Church.
Michael is survived by his wife, the former Debra Glatz, whom he married Sept. 2, 1978; mother Agnes Lisko of Struthers; two daughters, Laura Lisko (fiance Jeff Lukas) of Struthers, and Paige Lisko (fiance Katie Weaver) of Columbus; son Dr. Michael J. (Jessica) Lisko Jr. of Columbus; three sisters, AnneMarie (Joe) Barbato of Struthers, Elaine Lisko of Denver, and Jean Lisko of Struthers; two brothers, Paul (Sally) Lisko of New Mexico and David (Heather) Lisko of Hudson; uncles Victor (Leona) Sedlacko, Cyril L. Sedlacko and David Sedlacko; four grandchildren, Nathan Mullins, Olivia Lukas, Jensen Lisko and Haley Lisko; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Glatz of Steubenville; sisters-in-law Sharon (Ramon) Lopez of Allentown, Pa. and Pattie Elson and Morgan Elson, both of Steubenville; and nieces and nephews Sebastian and Sienna Lisko, Ramon (Anita) Lopez, Maria Lopez, Mark Elson, and Olivia Davis.
He was preceded in death by his father; his father-in-law, Robert Glatz; aunt Mary Jean (Robert) Michael; brother-in-law Mark Elson; and cousin Bobby Michael.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
