YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Holy Name of Jesus Church for Michael H. Williams, 66, who passed away Friday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Michael was born Feb. 7, 1943 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Harry and Margaret McCabe Williams.
Michael graduated from Richmond Hill High School. He was a veteran in the National Guard for six years.
Michael was a truck driver for Valley Foods and retired in 2008. He was Scout Master of Troop No. 91 and coach for the Mill Creek and Austintown Girls Softball.
He enjoyed fishing, slot machines, cruising and going to Vegas. His greatest love was for his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Michael leaves his wife, the former Patricia A. Levonyak, whom he married Jan. 11, 1964 in Queens, N.Y.; his ten children, Michael Joy Williams Jr. of Youngstown, John Vicki Williams of Boardman, Patricia Don Mason of Youngstown, Daniel Barb Williams of Wilmington, N.C., Robin Williams of New Middletown, Dawn Williams Rich of Petersburg, Kathleen Williams of Youngstown, Debra Keith Barber of Liberty, Rebecca Williams Jamie of Youngstown and Jennifer Andy Gemmell of Niles; two sisters, Barbara Georgi of Pennsylvania and Pat Lane of New York; two brothers, his twin Bryan Williams of New York and Paul Williams of Connecticut; and eight grandchildren Jordan and Christian Barber, Lauren and Ryan Mason, Alyssa and Lexis Williams, Cori Wade and Ali Williams.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to the family to help with funeral expenses.
