Michelle Oleyar

Aurora - Prayers will begin Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Boardman-Canfield Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Charles Church officiated by Pastor Philip Rogers for Miss Michelle L. Oleyar, age 41, of Aurora who died Thursday afternoon at University Hospital after a courageous nine year battle with breast cancer.

She was born August 31, 1971 in Youngstown, a daughter of Matthew and Phyllis (Paden) Oleyar.

Michelle was a 1989 graduate of Boardman High School and a 1993 graduate of YSU where she earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting. She began her career at the DeBartolo Corporation, later Simon Group, and most recently at DDR Corp for 10 years where she was an IT Business Analyst. Michelle was very active with the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure organizing a team known as "Mo's Missionaries". She was also a devoted aunt who cherished her time with her niece and nephews.

She leaves her parents Matthew and Phyllis Oleyar of Boardman, her sister Cheryl (Rob) McGovern of Aurora, her niece Ava McGovern and nephews Luke and Marc McGovern.

Friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
