Mildred S. Barnhart, 99, passed away on May 14, 2024 at the Hospice House.
She was born in Hubbard on May 12, 1925, and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1943. Mildred dedicated ten years of her life to working as a secretary for Mahoning Bank before retiring in 1989. Following her retirement, she focused on caring for her family and home with love and dedication.
Mildred was a cherished soul who touched the lives of many. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit. Her legacy lives on through her surviving family members: sons Richard (Patti) Barnhart of Powell and David (Kelly) Barnhart of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren: Erik Barnhart, Cory (Tammy) Barnhart, Emily (Meryl Scarton) Barnhart, Mike (Meghan) Barnhart, Benjamin Barnhart, and Bridget Barnhart; as well as six great-grandchildren: Jessica and Emily Barnhart, Erik and Joshua Barnhart, and Maeve and Maren Barnhart.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth W. Barnhart, whom she married on Aug. 21, 1948; their son Thomas Barnhart; grandson, Daniel Barnhart; her sister Marie Ritenour; and her brother Regis Richards.
A Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Mildred will be held at the Holy Family Church on June 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
