Mildred Ann Pompura Emery, born Feb. 13, 1928, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by family.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anne Lesko Pompura; brother, John (Gail) Pompura; sisters, Mary (Sam) Graziosi and Anne (Charles) Orville; her husband, Dale Emery; her daughters, Donna Stassin, Karen Thompson and Kathy Ferguson; and her grandson, Jason Emery.
Mildred leaves behind a son, Daniel Emery; two daughters, Barb Rogazine (Dave Boyd) and Terri Klem; son-in-law, Paul Thompson; and three generations of grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Mildred, lovingly known as “Gram” and “nana boo boo,” will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her quick sense of humor, beautiful contagious smile and always happy disposition were some of her best qualities. The last nine years of her life were spent with her granddaughter and family, making sure she lived her best life. From swinging on swings and going on merry-go-rounds at playgrounds, to learning how to drive and even sled riding — there were lots of laughs and many memories made.The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to hospice for all of the care they gave Mildred.
They would also like to thank Joelianys Cotto, a wonderful health aide, who treated Gram like her own, and family friend, Frances Beckes, who took the absolute best care of her.In honor of Mildred’s wishes, there will be no services.
