YOUNGSTOWN - Nancie I. Turner, 72, passed away early Friday morning at Hospice House.
Nancie was born Aug. 20, 1943, in Youngstown, the daughter of James and Blanche (Davis) Boyle.
She was a graduate of Wilson High School and worked for Mahoning County in the payroll department for 23 years until retiring in 2008.
Her husband, Richard Turner, whom she married June 1, 1985, died Sept. 29, 1994.
Nancie is survived by two stepdaughters, Deborah Turner (Mark Cusick) of Austintown and Sheryl (Rick) Bazley of Florida; stepson Richard (Stacy) Turner Jr. of Florida; five grandchildren, Joseph Turner-Kerr, Leah and Heather Bazley and Trent and Taryn Turner; two nephews, Jody and Christopher Boyle of Travlers Rest, S.C.; and her closest, lifelong friend, Elizabeth Trupe.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother James (Dorothy) Boyle.
Per Nancie's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
Nancie had a huge heart for animals and especially loved her cat, Julia. The family request material tributes take the form of donations to Angel's for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
