AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown chapel, and at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Nancy C. Powers Driscoll who passed away Thursday afternoon at the home of her son and daughter in law in Boardman.
Nancy was born August 25, 1929, in Tiffin, Ohio the daughter of Jeffrey A. and Martha Swinehart Powers.
A 1948 graduate of South High School she had worked at Buckeye Pontiac as a secretary, and as a teller at the Metropolitan Savings and Loan, and later as a dental assistant. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, its altar and rosary society, senior citizens, and had served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, a longtime member of the Wednesday Night Card Club since 1962, and was an over 40 year member of the Msgr. Mears Council # 3930 of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
Her husband James P. Driscoll Sr. whom she married September 7, 1957, died August 27, 1999.
She is survived by four sons James Patrick Jr. of Columbus, Jeffrey J. and wife Liana of Boardman, David Allen and wife Melissa of Columbus, and Tim M. and wife Brenda of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, three grandchildren, Daniel J., Shannon M. and Jason P. Driscoll.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 7 PM Sunday at the Higgins-Reardon Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Capital Fund.
