STRUTHERS - Nancy Laughner, 94, passed away peacefully at home early Friday morning.
Nancy was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Harry and Maude (Stonely) Campman.
She married the love of her life, James Edward Laughner Sr., on Aug. 29, 1942. The couple settled in Struthers, and were joyful members of the community for more than 70 years.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother to her husband, and her children.
Nancy was very proud of her family, and was elated to become a grandmother to her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She dedicated her time to creating a welcoming home for family and friends to gather.
Nancy will be remembered by her kind generosity, and her witty, yet good sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, James Jr. (Janice) of Warren, and Robert Sr. (Kathy) of Tarpon Springs; two daughters, Kimberly (John) Rivera of Struthers, and Lisa (Tom) Shook of Struthers; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, James Edward Laughner Sr.; her daughter, Judy; her sister, Elizabeth Wolf; and her brother, Dave Campman.
At her request, there will be no calling hours or services.
