Nancy Waldern

YOUNGSTOWN - Nancy Waldern died peacefully Thursday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Nancy was born July 27, 1944, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Annabel (Kiefer) Peterson.

She was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as a phone operator for Ohio Bell for 30 years until retiring.

In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.

Nancy is survived by her son, Kenneth Collins of Struthers and sister Karen Burke of New Smyrna, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Kenneth Collins; and twin sister, Dorothy Graycar.

Per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Professional services were handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
