YOUNGSTOWN ? Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church for Nello Ruscitti, 81, who passed away Sunday morning at his home.
Nello was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Canton, the son of Andrea F. and Maria A. Spera Ruscitti.
Nello was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a shipping foreman for Youngstown Steel Door Company for 37 years, retiring in 1984. Nello was a 3rd Degree Knight for Fr. Gallagher Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Joseph Church.
Nello leaves his wife, the former Catherine Banks, whom he married May 11, 1957; two sons, Nello M. Joyce Ruscitti of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and Thomas F. Anna Ruscitti of Sanford Fla.; a brother, Vincent J. Linda S. Ruscitti of Maumelle, Ark.; and four grandchildren, Corp. Thomas F. Ruscitti USMC, Catherine L. Ruscitti, Craig A. Ruscitti and Ricki Mari Ruscitti.
Nello was preceded in death by his sister, Irma Carbon and three brothers, Dante Reno and Andrew Ruscitti.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
