AUSTINTOWN ? Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Niccolina Rose Lakovich, 89, who died Saturday afternoon at Humility House.
Niccolina was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Westmoreland, Pa., the daughter of Samuel and Gabriella Apone Elmo.
She was a homemaker and a former member of St. Dominic Church.
Her husband, Victor Lakovich, whom she married Nov. 29, 1941, died Nov. 3, 1995.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki and her husband, Gene Gleydura of Austintown; three grandchildren, Todd Carla Gleydura, Sara Gleydura and Brett Gleydura; a sister, Priscilla Bowser of Boardman; and a sister-in-law, Bea Elmo of Austintown.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rose Ann Lakovich; four sisters, Mary Selak, Florence Cherney, Louise Ragazine and Josephine Rager; and three brothers, Tony, Orland and Rudy Elmo.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
