BOARDMAN - Services will be Saturday evening at 7:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Nicholas A. Delfino age 72 who passed away Thursday morning at the Hospice House surrounded by his family after a short illness. Nick was born May 25, 1934 in Youngstown, the son of the late Florence Naples and Nicholas Delfino. He was also a stepson to the late Mary Delfino.
He served in the United States Army and retired from Hynes Steel Industries. He enjoyed golf, bowling, watching football and spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He loved traveling to Las Vegas. Anyone who knew Nick enjoyed his practical jokes and sence of humar.
He is survived by his beloved wife Anna Delfino whom he was married to for over 29 years, his eight children; Nicholas Delfino of California, Michael Delfino of Boardman, Linda Glenn Willrich of Las Vegas, Vicki Brown of Boardman, Eunice Michael Simon of Poland, Anthony Jeannie Petrony of Edinburg, Samuel Petrony of Boardman, and Sandie Lombardi of Lorain, a sister Ann Art Ozenghar of Boardman, a brother David Eleanor Delfino of Boardman, twelve grandchildren; Stacey Nick Pulido, Glenn Samantha Willrich IV, Jennifer Iamurri, Jill Duff, Tony Petrony, Maria Joe Vittorio, Tina Chris Kohnen, Sammy Kristen Petrony, Scotty Petrony, Sarah Petrony, and Cameron Lombardi, a great-granddaughter Ava Grace Pulido, his beloved companion and pet Opus and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joe and sister in law Eleanor Delfino, and a beloved granddaughter Jamie Lynn Petrony.
