AUSTINTOWN ? Prayers will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Nicholas J. DeToro, 26, who passed away Tuesday morning.
Nicholas was born Dec. 6, 1982 in Youngstown, the son of Armand E. DeToro Jr. and Karen L. Maggianetti.
Nicholas was a 2001 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He was a member of the FOE 3298 Eagles Organization, where he was a cook for Cindy DiMuzio. He worked at Alltel in Boardman in collections and sales, where he had numerous certificates of achievements. Nicholas also worked for his brother-in-law at Kessman Interiors as a painter for 2 years. He worked at Dukes Sanitary, Boardman Medical Supply, and as a waiter at Red Lobster. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, where he attended their school and served as an altar boy.
Nicholas leaves his mother, Karen L. Richard Nochta of Austintown; his father, Armand E. Lori DeToro Jr. of Niles; a sister, Sedra Sean Kessman of Las Vegas; three stepsisters, Michelle Gary Shonce, Sara Tamburro and Traci Matt Brown; a stepbrother, Anthony Tamburro; a niece, Elizabeth Kessman; a nephew, Blaine Kessman; his grandmother, Ann DeToro; an aunt, Maryann DeToro; and an uncle, Ray Maggianetti.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandfather, Armand E. DeToro Sr. and his grandmother, Antoinette Maggianetti.
The family will be receiving friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
